It's time to start thinking about going back-to-school. This fall at Bancroft is more exciting than ever because all of our students grades 6 - 12 will have iPads in the classroom. The teachers have been working hard this summer to integrate the iPad into their lessons and have come up with many creative ways to use the iPad to enhance learning and make it fun.
Be sure to visit the
Bancroft iPad Initiative web site for all of the most up to date information about the iPad at Bancroft, student and parent training opportunities, and lists of apps you will want to have to start the school year.
Just to get you started, one of the most exciting new apps released this summer is
StudyBlue. StudyBlue is a flashcard app that lets you create and edit your own flashcards, and search for ready made flashcards from their huge database of flashcard stacks. StudyBlue lets you add images and audio to your flashcards. It lets you quiz yourself from the front side or the back side of the card and lets you mark the cards you get right and wrong. But the best feature of StudyBlue is that it lets you set reminders to study your flashcards. And StudyBlue is available for your computer, iPad, iPhone. iPad and Android devices - you can bring StudyBlue along wherever you go. Learn more about StudyBlue at:
